Find answers to common questions about Atlyn visuals, licensing, and support.
What is Atlyn?
Atlyn provides free and paid custom visuals for Microsoft Power BI, extending its built-in charting, formatting, and interactivity. For the eight additional all-access visuals, Atlyn customer terms authorize end-user acquisition and use during an active paid or trial subscription, with free shared-report viewing. Older product terms and applicable package and third-party licenses remain unchanged.
What does all-access include?
All-access remains $14.99/month or $149/year and includes released catalog visuals. Heatmap, Pareto, Network, Financial Matrix, Overlap Explorer, Marimekko, Resource Capacity, and Process Lens will join all-access as released with no added charge or separate purchase. These eight products are staged, not eight already-published downloads. Existing active or trialing all-access subscribers can download them when released without another checkout or new license keys.
How does the free trial work?
The 30-day trial applies to your account's first eligible subscription in each Stripe billing mode (live or test), not to each product. Adding a product or choosing a different plan does not start a fresh trial. A payment method is required, but billing begins only after the trial unless you cancel beforehand. An active all-access trial authorizes eligible downloads and author use of the eight additional visuals under Atlyn customer terms. Their lack of technical runtime trial limits does not extend that author-use grant after expiry.
How do I install a Power BI custom visual?
Open the catalog at /products, directly or through "Browse" or "Download Visuals" on dashboard Overview. Select an available product to open its detail page, choose "Get download link", then "Download .pbiviz". In Power BI Desktop, open the Visualizations pane, click the ellipsis menu (...), and select "Import a visual from a file." Choose the downloaded file, and the visual will appear in your pane.
Do I need a license key?
The eight additional all-access visuals listed above need no key or activation step, and no new keys or key backfill are required for existing subscribers. No key does not mean unrestricted use: author permission comes from Atlyn customer terms for an active paid or trialing all-access subscription. Older visuals retain their existing behavior; not all require keys. If your older package's instructions require a key, find it in your dashboard's Licenses section and follow that package's activation instructions.
Do shared-report viewers need a subscription?
For the eight additional all-access visuals, Atlyn customer terms grant author acquisition and use during an active paid or trialing all-access subscription. Shared-report viewers may view those reports without a separate Atlyn subscription. Installed packages do not check author or viewer identity, call licensing services, or enforce device or account matching; this technical behavior does not expand the legal grant. Power BI sharing permissions and Microsoft licensing are separate. Older terms and applicable package and third-party rights remain unchanged.
What happens when my subscription expires?
After cancellation, eligible downloads and the subscription-based author-use grant continue through your current subscribed period. At expiry, that grant ends unless further use is separately authorized under applicable Atlyn customer terms. The eight additional packages do not technically deactivate, lose features, or disable shared reports or static exports, but continued operation is not unrestricted or perpetual permission to author reports. Shared-report viewers need no separate Atlyn subscription under the customer terms. Older product terms, behavior, and license rights remain separate.
Are the eight additional visuals listed on AppSource or Power BI certified?
They are staged for release, and their catalog entries are not evidence of an AppSource listing or certification. Power BI certification is a goal, not an earned badge or confirmation of a Partner Center submission. General Marketplace certification for the existing Distribution offer is not proof of paid-offer approval or a Power BI certified badge for these products.
Which license governs a downloaded visual?
For the eight additional all-access visuals, the existing Atlyn storefront/customer terms provide the separate end-user acquisition and use authority: an active paid or trial author grant and shared-report viewing without a separate Atlyn subscription. Their first-party source remains proprietary; an UNLICENSED declaration, reserved-rights notice, or missing first-party license file is not an open-source or perpetual-use grant. Older product terms and all applicable MIT, other open-source, and third-party rights remain unchanged, including the MIT grants for Markdown Viewer, Bullet Chart, and Calendar Slicer. Distribution or Scatter MIT references do not apply to the eight additional products. No new package EULA is introduced.

Can I get a refund?
We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first paid subscription if you're not satisfied. After 14 days, you can cancel at any time and retain subscribed storefront access until the end of your billing period. Contact atlyn.help@gmail.com for refund requests.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Log into your Atlyn dashboard and go to the Subscriptions section. Click "Cancel Subscription" on the plan you want to cancel. Eligible downloads and the subscription-based author grant continue through your current subscribed period. The eight additional installed packages do not technically deactivate at expiry, but that does not extend legal author-use permission beyond the customer terms.
Is my data secure?
The eight additional all-access packages process report data within Power BI, contain no telemetry, and make no external requests, including licensing or identity checks. The website still uses normal authentication, downloads, billing, and account services. Some older visuals may call the legacy license-validation endpoint without report fields or report content. Power BI and your organization have their own privacy practices; see our Privacy Policy for the distinction.
